A little boy looks outside the window eagerly waiting for his parents. He gets excited upon hearing a tricycle pass by but no mother or father comes down from it. He looks at other members of his family doing his or her task to help out in the house. Despite this, he still feels sad without his mother and father. The other family members see the little boy and comfort him. They explain why mother and father need to work. Suddenly, the moment that the little boy has been waiting for has arrived—his mother and father are back from work! They happily spend the night together.

Tito saw a nest with baby birds in it. He wanted to get the birds from the nest to play with them, but Tito's mother told him not to. She explains how the mother bird takes care of its babies by building a nest for them and by bringing them food just like how Tito's mother and father takes care of him. The mother bird and her babies will feel sad if they are separated, just like how Tito will feel sad if he is separated from his mother and father. Tito realizes that his mother is right and watches as the mother bird returns and sings with her babies.

A little boy takes you around his town and shows different aspects of their life within the community. He talks about the mountains and the sea and the farmers and fisherfolks that work tirelessly. He also talks about the different ways of going around their town. As he enters the town proper, he shows off their big city hall and the small barangay hall. He goes inside the town center where the school, hospital, church, market and park can be seen. The little boy talks about the activities that they do in groups and as a community. Finally, he talks about the different families that are in his community and his own small family.

While out on a walk, a boy tells his mother about the different places he wants to go to and how he wants to visit them. He tells his her that he dreams to have a bike to race with his friends and a motorcycle to ride with his father to go to school. He also wants to go to the market in a tricycle, ride the jeep into town, and a bus to visit the city. As he tells his mother all these, she brings him to a store in the city and asks him to choose what kind of bike he likes fulfilling his dream of having a bike.

Chris is worried about entering Grade 1 in the coming school year. His family helps ease his worry by testing his readiness for some skills expected in Grade 1. His father asks if he can already tell his name, its first letter and his age. His mother asks if he can identify the names of the rest of the family. His brother asks if he can identify shapes and colors. His sister asks if he can cut along a line. Chris shows that he can do all those things. He then excuses himself to go to the bathroom and insists that he can go alone. His family applauds him and tells him that he is, indeed, ready for Grade 1. This story is meant for an interactive storytelling activity where the children will be encouraged to provide the responses asked in the story as if they are the main character.

A picky eater, Blanca eats only longganisa. One day, she goes home crying because her team lost a relay in school. She could not run as fast as the other children because she does not eat vegetables or drink milk. The next day, mother packs her fish and vegetables for lunch but she would not eat her food. She goes home very hungry, and smells the food that mother has prepared. She is so hungry that she eats the pansit, the hot soup and the meat and finds everything delicious! From then on, she eats different kinds of food that give her energy.
